:: ABOUT NANOWRIMO ::

 National Novel Writing Month takes place every year between November 1st - 30th. The goal is to write 50.000 words by midnight on November 30.
 It usually takes up a lot of time and energy, and 50% of the novel is pure crap. Luckily it's the final wordcount that matters, not the quality of the writing.

 :: MY PARTICIPATION & RESULT ::

 I first participated in 2004, which resulted in some of the best work I've ever done.
 In 2005 I wrote 50.000 words that made no sense at all. 2008-11-06: I'm actually going to remove this one as a winner, because I doubt the final word count really was over 50 K.
 In 2006 I forfeited before I even wrote one word, even though I'd planned a storyline and was really excited about my idea.
 2007 ended in a real success with one finished story by the middle of the month. Story number two reached almost 62 K within twelve days, with a final word count of over 100 K.
 2008 began with a half-finished idea that eventually might make sense in the end. I didn't reach the goal this year because I couldn't type 7,000 words in five hours. Bummer.

 Challenges: Words, actions, events, songs or names that I've been challanged to get into the story somehow.
 Read: Samples, chapters, outlines or the actual story in its entirety. The last one doesn't feature often, if ever.

 :: KISSES FOR KATE ::

 Working Title: Evil Lex, Kisses for Kate
 Word Count: 52,537 (although how that is possible is beyond me, because I just checked this a few days ago and including the unrelated parts, it's still only 27,103 words... I counted wrong the first time or some part is obviously missing) This story is now removed as a winner.
 Summary: The last party before Christmas break and everyone's going, but all Fred can think about is how to win Lex back.
 Chapters: It's a one shot, but there are three more unfinished parts that I removed from the story.
 Characters: Fred, Kate, Daniel and Lex
 Challenges: None
 Status: Finished as a one shot, which used to be the prologue, but my original story idea is completely abandoned.

 :: LADY AND THE TRAMP ::

 Working Title: Lady and the Tramp

 Chapters: 22 parts planned, 0 written
 Characters: Lex, Fred, Lila & Ryan, Daniel & Kate, Gretchen (Fred's ex), Chrissie. Hover over their names to see which parts from the movie they represent.
